Not sure if the casters for these are universal or not? I would like to buy a set of 4 if it is not too expensive.

Nevermind, guess my "original" credenza had them added later on it would seem.

Universal? Well, universally…non-existent. The Credenza was not furnished with casters from the factory.

No polluxes, either.

This isn’t to stop you from drilling the bottoms of the bun feet and installing your own, but be really sure that you have a strong finish on your wooden floor (and use soft faced casters with a large-diameter wheel size). Don’t bother trying this on wall-to-wall carpet because it’s absolutely going to bunch up when you try to roll the thing.

When I need to move any of my larger items, we just tip it up onto a throw rug, and push/pull it where it needs to go.

If you really really need movable orthophony, look for a Victor 8-7 or 8-8, which come equipped with big wheels.

Oh that's interesting Peter. My credenza that I have been having for years came with the casters so I thought they all did. My new credenza that I just got has the holes drilled in the bun feet, so I assumed somebody just took out the rollers.

Well that, too, is interesting. Do the bun-holes (to coin a phrase) have metal sleeves in them? If present, are said sleeves threaded or smooth? If threaded, they are likely the remnants of a means of securing it within the shipping crate.

To find out, just lift it up with one hand and put your face directly underneath, while using the other hand aim a flashlight.

All kidding aside, why the need to roll it at all?

I'll have to look when I'm off tonight. The main reason I wanted them is bc I like my machines original (and thought they all came with wheels). Another reason is now one credenza is shorter than the other . Lastly, is i have no friends to help me move these big machines everywhere so casters make it a ton easier.

I am, like you, mostly friendless - especially in matters such as these.

I do have one helpful acquaintance, shown here facilitating movement of a Victor 9-40. His name is Salvador, and he is cousin to a Ms. Madison (not shown).
Note the big honking 4” diameter casters I bolted onto the damn thing.

I need better friends I guess. My lone friend is a little Home Depot dolly and a blanket that I constantly trip over as I'm trying to move my machines around trying not to scratch anything

On a side note, my wife keeps questioning why I needed another Credenza in the house and I do not have a good answer...yet

There are holes in the bottom of some Credenza bun feet, that have screws deep inside of them to fasten the feet on. Maybe you're mistaking these for caster socket holes? Other bun feet are fastened to the cabinet with wooden dowels in the center of the feet. Drilling holes for casters in centers of this style of foot will remove a good portion of the dowel and allow the foot to break off.

Thanks Jerry. All this time I thought the casters on my "old" credenza were original to this machine.

FWIW I have never seen or owned a Credanza with casters. And the flag is displayed backwards.
