I recently acquired an Edison horn and crane. I’m trying to ID the crane. The base looks like an Edison, but the arched rod, which is non adjustable, I do not see in photos of cranes on the web. Anybody hazard a guess?

The only markings are “PATAPLDFOR” on the base.

The base, with adjustable thumbscrews, is from a Hawthorne & Sheble No. 5 crane. The rod section looks homemade. I've seen nothing like it in catalogs from H&S, Standard Metal Manufacturing Co., Tea Tray Co., Chicago Stand Co., the Ideal Fastener Co., or other manufacturers of the period.
