Hello everyone,
I'm writing from Italy.
I recently got an Odeon gramophone.
Could you help me identify it? is it a good model?
All I know is that it was originally bought from a historic shop in northern Italy (the name of the store is written in the diamond-shaped label).
I have not been able to find any model information... I have searched other discussions on this forum but unfortunately most of them are quite old and the pictures are no longer available.

I notice in your photo, you show the reproducer/soundbox, positioned on the left side of the turntable. Please, do not play records that way. The reproducer/soundbox needs to be on the right side, or you will damage your records. Sorry, I don't have any particulars on the gramophone itself.

You have to understand that portable gramophones were the "workhorses" of their time, mostly cheaply made (with very few although noteworthy exceptions), at times with a mix & match of generic parts. They usually rise very little interest in collectors today (I'm among the few who cares, at least to some degree) and most of them are intentionally ignored on books about the matter.

I tried to dig the internet a bit to return some information, but couldn't find anything similar to your machine. Actually, I don't even know if the soundbox really matches the gramophone, and frankly I don't even understand if the whole machine was indeed built by Odeon, or if the needle case alone carries the make.

Nevermind and enjoy your portable! Following Jerry's advice, please also keep in mind that needles can be used only once and have to be discarded and changed at each next record. I suggest you get rid of the needles you've found inside the gramophone, unless the seller granted that they were all fresh and added for courtesy.
