In 2025 I will resolve to:

1. Renew my APS subscription
2. Get a Columbia Disc playing machine
3. Get my Diamond B reproducer rebuilt!
4. Get brown wax cylinders
5. Get a lid for both my Suitcase Edisons
6. Get a proper floating reproducer for my Columbia Eagles!
7. Get a RECORDER for my Columbia Eagles!
8. Get a Model B reproducer
9. Get a AUTOMATIC reproducer
10. Possibly get a ICS reproducer for the ICS Amberola 30
11. Get my Columbia Lyric reproducer rebuilt!
12. Get my Model E reproducer rebuilt!
13. GET MORE BOOKS

So what do you want done in 2025 that you've been procrastinating on or working hard to Acquire?

Where 2024 was a year of acquisition, 2025 will be the year of restoration:
Getting Reproducers repaired with new gaskets, get Columbia Lyric recorder restored.
Kotton Klenser or New Life Masque or Gojo the unrestored phonograph cabinets
Repaint hopeless horns
Finish restoring Opera Horn
Change out noisy governor gear in Opera
Restore Suitcase Home phono
Restore Repeater D mechanism on Edison Home
Create Diorama of Menlo Park model
Clean, grease, oil and tweak various machines
Repair tracking of B250 Diamond Disc machine
Hook up Modern Turntable to play 78s without wear.
Sit back, play and enjoy my collection, Invite friends to enjoy with me!!
Travel and go to the Thomas Edison Historic Site in West Orange
Travel to and attend the Phonograph Conventions and Auctions.

My resolution is to find a young collector who lives in my area and give that person an antique phonograph along with a few records from the same time period.

And now that the year is up! let's see how I did!

1. Did that!
2. I certainly did in June!
3. I got that one up and running on my on my Standard E!
4. That didn't happen! In fact, I don't think I got any cylinders this year!
5. That didn't happen either both are still topless!
6. One came with my Type A so, sorta counts?
Sadly, resolutions 7-13 didn't happen! BUT getting those HMV portables was a pleasant thing I didn't think I would get my hands on this year! Plus, it can't be possible to get EVERYTHING on the list done!
