FOUND: Japanese folk music on shellac

I’m interested in finding Japanese folk music 78s from the 1930s or earlier. Specifically, I’d like to find examples with flute (shakuhachi) or lute/zither-type instruments. I’m *not* looking for pop music of that era, though if you had any, I might grab an example.

DubStoreUSA tends to sell 78s from that era at roughly $10 to $20, but being that I can’t hear them first and don’t speak or read Japanese, I thought I’d check here first.

Anyone have anything?

Hi Woody..
Got this little beauty…I’ve played it a few times and it’s kinda strange…
Let me know…
I’ll see if I can make a video and send it to a private email or number for you. Just shout out if interested.

Hi Mike. I actually just ordered some 78s from Japan, but depending on what it sounds like, I might be interested in the one you posted too. What are you thinking, in terms of price? Feel free to message me.

Could you share a video? I’m thinking others might also find it interesting.
