I’m restoring a Victrola 8-7 and the pot metal tone arm support bracket is broken. The Phonograph Shop is temporarily out-of-stock of repros. Does anyone have a repro bracket, or a functional original with the mounting plate oriented for mounting directly behind the turntable (not to the corner)? Thanks in advance!

John,
Post the serial number of your 8-7 and I can look up which sheet metal flange you need.
Unlike most of Victor parts the part number is stamped on the back of the flange and this will confirm the fit. George Vollema seems to have many of the varieties on hand.
The replica Orthophonic taper tube supports are made by Justin at JES Antiques, you may be able to buy one directly from him.

Thanks for the input, Mark! I have an intact bracket from a 4-20, but I’m afraid to press it out of the flange for fear of breaking it. The correct flange for the 8-7 is 17784.
I wrote to JAS through their website and received no response.
