George Chicken Wilson information

Okay, I just won a QRS 78 on eBay of this singer, but when I went to do, a Google search, I found mostly Chicken Recipes, or a Charlie Wilson. Obviously another Blues Singer lost to history.

Nice record! According to Dixon, Godrich & Rye,
Blues and Gospel Records 1890-1943, 4th ed. this is George Wilson and Jimmy Hinton; Long Island City, NYC; ca. January 1929. These are two of six sides recorded that day. Reference books are essential (and highly recommended) if you're spending a lot of money on records
