sadly the motor is broken. the govenor is in peices

The governor on these machines are the weakest link and are often found broken. Because it is oriented vertically, it is very short and they used very thin springs. Quickly stopping the motor causes the weights to twist the springs and they eventually break. Otherwise it is a really interesting machine, capable of playing both horizontal and vertical cut records.
