12" Aluminum Disc Record

I have a single-sided, 12-inch aluminum record, I believe from the 1930s, containing an Ex-Lax radio commercial and a performance of "Vienna, City of My Dreams" by Lud Gluskin and his Orchestra.

The grooves are not raised and record plays well. What do I have here? A mother?

I don't think it's a mother without at least a lead out groove. This explanation on Wikipedia makes more sense:

So, it's is a radio transcription. I had never come across one of these aluminum ones before.

I have a set of 7 of these. They are double sided and are instructions on how to get ready for having a baby.
