Hello, new member here so please excuse me if these questions have been posed and answered before. I have acquired an Edison Triumph model E with a K reproducer. Everything is there except the horn itself (It even has the Cygnet horn crane). It's in good working condition, winds tight and plays strong. Physical condition is amazing too, no damage or imperfections anywhere that I can tell. I am going to be selling it and was wondering what the value may be on something like this. I will post pictures momentarily, but just wanted to pick your brains as I have absolutely no idea what to ask for this machine. On Ebay they've seemed to run the gamut as far as cost ranging anywhere from $500 all the way up to $4,000. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Congratulations on the purchase of your Triumph. A Triumph is much more unusual than a Standard or Home model. It is difficult to appraise without some photos. Please consider adding some to your post and I bet you get several replies. The D series of machines, Standard, Home, and Triumph suffer from swelling of the pot metal mandrel bushing but that's a fairly easy repair. Once that bushing is replaced with a modern replacement they are excellent machines. The D Triumph, Home, and Standard were originally sold with a C (two minute) and H (four minute) reproducer. The K reproducer (two and four minute) was sold with the entry level Edison Gem and Fireside. With that said, the K reproducer is very desirable and will work fine on your Triumph. Photos will help with an appraisal. For example do you have the Cygnet crane or the Cygnet bracket on the back of the cabinet.

Mine is a Model E Triumph,and it has a #11 Cygnet horn and a model O and a diamond B reproducer.I paid $1000 for it.edisonplayer.

The $4,000 "asking price" on eBay's a way over the top unrealistic price... If you are going to use eBay as a guide, only check "SOLD" listings...

My mistake! It is a model E, not a model D... not sure if this changes anything you previously mentioned Jerry. Here are the pics. Anyone please chime in with your thoughts, opinions, things you see (or don't). I need all the help I can get with this as I am fairly unfamiliar with Edisons. Thanks again!!

That's in very nice condition! I'd place a value of maybe $1250.00 on it. Others may disagree, which might be a good thing

When you sell it, if it needs to be shipped, please come back for advice on how to pack it. The weight of the motor can very often cause the mounting plate to break in shipment if handled roughly, (which it will certainly be). It would be a real shame to damage such a nice example.
