What machine is this? I never seen one like it before and I am speculating it is from Europe.

The reproducer is integral with the cast-iron carriage, not a separate removable assembly.

The BVT is documented on page 149 of The Talking Machine: An Illustrated Compendium by Tim Fabrizio and George Paul. Fabrizio and Paul have published many highly regarded books about antique phonographs. You (and other interested young collectors) might want to consider purchasing one or more of their titles The internet is bountiful, but as a research tool, Google Image Search has its limits. The Fabrizio/Paul books are all well-written, well-organized, easy to navigate and lavishly illustrated. An excellent investment, and enjoyable reading.

Thanks, Grant and Ken, for your kind words.

It has been suggested to me that newer collectors may well be unaware of the availability of our books. A few months ago I posted a list of recommended books for collectors. Scroll down this link and there will be a detailed description of each of our books too.

Thanks again and best wishes,
