Edison Home Model D Crank question

I just got a good deal on an Edison Model D but it does not have the crank. It hasn't shipped yet so I can't inspect the motor area. I am not familiar with that model so don't know what type of crank it uses.

I have seen several types. There are rounded and square edge ones. Some also have a cutout slot at the end. There are outside threads and inside threads. I want to order one from eBay but not sure which would work with my machine. Anyone with a Model D Home please let me know which type it uses.

Thanks!

The Edison Home model D uses a female threaded crank. The crank should be the same as used on the Edison Standard model B through F, Home B through F and Fireside A and B. If you can't find one I'm pretty certain I have one I'd sell.

I might hit you up on it. How much do you want for it?

You are in luck. The crank for a Model D Home is the same as the crank for the Standard and Fireside. It's a female threaded crank. Any crank from the Model B Standards and Homes and later will work fine. There are two styles. Perhaps someone can comment on when the second style was introduced. I'm very particular but have always been happy with a crank of either style as long as it's original and clean.
