Can you share with us your finish cleaning/restoration methods? I would not have guessed that such a nice finish was still hiding under the gunk!

The woodwork is incredible! But also the nickel on the tonearm, with the before picture you would think the nickel had gone.

Thanks for the nice comments - I’ve posted some past project pictures but I think they are gone from forum.

The horn was sagging badly and shimming it wasn’t working so well (thanks for advice here. Elbow is pretty dinged up - I took a different non-purist route to repair - pics in next post.

I spent some time straightening and rounding elbow best I could with expanding lathe chuck and reinforced it inside with thin spring steel. It was better but after sitting with horn in it for two days I was left with this. So I went to awesome surplus store in Glassboro NJ and bought this giant washer And made this (modeled after the elbow support bracket on my Victor II)
I decided I a make-do bracket made to look of appropriate age than have to deal with a sagging horn. Not sure why V did not have a similar support bracket originally. I fabricated the top support bracket along with a spacer below it.

A very nice modification to maintain this marvelous machine in working order...
