One less Victrola XX

I saw this post for a wooden phone booth and sneaking around in the background is a Vic IV on top of the bottom half of a Victrola XX!

No vitriol on this as we don't know what the condition of the top half was or when the "procedure" occurred. However, if they only made 500 of Victrola XX's, that leaves no more than 499 complete ones!

Ouch!

It's the bottoms of upright phonographs that usually suffer more than the upper areas (dampness, floods, etc.). Let's hope there was no other recourse...

Ah... These come from examples we've seen when they make tabletops with the upper halves of Victrolas...

It took a "talented craftsman" to turn (destroy) this into a useless cabinet... RIP to whoever thought this was a good idea. A Darwin award winner...
