George I made a mistake. The horn is aluminum and not nickel. Since it’s not polished, and I didn’t pay a lot for it.

So it is a nickel plated one? Even though it’s not polished? Because I originally thought it was nickel and the on closer inspection I thought aluminum, since it is dull?

Columbia aluminum horns are 14", while nickeled horns are 10". Yours definitely looks like nickel-plated, it doesn't have the shape of the aluminum horns.
Old nickel can get very dull with time. It can be polished bright, but it will slowly dull again with time. Modern nickel has brighteners that keep it from dulling. It can be challenging to find platers who will do traditional nickel.

Okay, well this horn is 10 inches. I’m not going to bother polishing or even re-plating.
