My first thought when I looked at the photo was: Hmm, the table looks wide enough to fit an external horn Columbia machine on top. I'm well past the point of no return in the road to collector madness!

Actually they are fairly common in the U.S. - I’ve had a number of them. If you put a Regina Style 50 music box (whose curves match it well) atop one, you then have a Reginaphone of sorts.

Thank you, Andy and Carlos. Yes, it is a great addition and taking a leaf from Carlos' book, I'm now trying to figure out what machine of mine would look best atop it!

I can guess that it is wound through the hole in the draw front, but where does the sound come out and is it played with the draw open or closed? If closed I guess the runners must be really smooth.
