Hello! I plan to rebuild a Columbia Grand #4 reproducer and wonder what should be used used to attach the stylus bar to the mica diaphragm. I've read that shellac was used to do so, but I wanted to confirm.

You're correct. A small drop of shellac does the job.

One more question about rebuilding a Columbia Grand #4 reproducer: Where can I get a gasket? The closest I can find is a gasket for large floating reproducer from The Phonograph Shop: https://thephonographshop.com/products/ ... agm-gasket.

Can I just cut this down?

Thanks!
