Hello. If this isn't posted in the correct place I'm sorry and would somebody kindly direct me to the right place.
I have been fortunate enough to get a jumble box of gramophone parts including a Garrard junior motor in brilliant condition. I'm going to work these parts into a demonstration gramophone with transparent sides to the case.
Does anybody have a picture of the motor board preferably with dimensions or even know where to find an original drawing of layout.
Really it's a case of where to drill holes size of holes and how thick the board should be.

Garrard made motors for many different types and sizes of gramophones and the position of holes etc will depend upon the tracking requirements for the particular tonearm/soundbox geometry.

Garrard did not produce complete gramophones but, as Graham says, they did produce a wide range of motors which were installed in a wide range of gramophones. The Junior being one of their smaller motors, it is likely that it would originally have been installed in a portable, but it should be perfectly suitable for a transparent display case.
There would have been thick rubber insulating washers between the motor and the motor board. Varying their thickness will alter the height of the turntable and ensure that it does not foul the motor board.

you could just use the main spindle as the centre & figure out the fixing holes with a card template , you just need a longer area at the back for the tonearm to have enough space to track to the spindle with the needle.

Thanks for all your help. Making a card template sounds like a plan. In all the gramophones I've seen the tone arm hasn't been on the motor board so I'll follow that. Considering that the motor is about 80 years old it's doing well
