4 minute recording blank
Did Edison ever make a specific 4 minute recording blank for his 4 minute recorders or were they still using the regular old 2 minute blanks with the old box?

Re: 4 minute recording blank
The 4-minute blanks were made with black wax, different markings on the rim, and in a new box. Here's an image from an article appearing in the upcoming June issue of the APS magazine.

4-minute blanks came in yellow boxes.
Be sure to look up Samuel Murchison Seka on the interwebs for some music and phonograph reading material.

Re: 4 minute recording blank
I own a blank never used 4 minute record. I'm debating if I should use it ...If I ever get a 4 minute recorder that is. But yes it's in a yellow box.

For reference, here's some photos of the only four minute blank I own. I do have two or three empty boxes though. There are no markings anywhere on the blank.

It makes one wonder what she was thinking hearing her voice played back to her.
