May 10, 1905: Died: George H. Broderick, pioneer Berliner, Consolidated, Victor, Zonophone, and Edison bass vocal recording artist.

May 10, 1927: Recorded: Potato Head Blues by Louis Armstrong and his Hot Seven, regarded by many as Armstrong’s finest recording as well as the most important performance of the traditional jazz era.
