Great Prohibition Era Photo

Post by MikeB »

I wanted to share this great photo of what appears to be liquor hidden in a phonograph cabinet, next to a man who may have been a Prohibition agent. It is back stamped from the Maine Historical Society but beyond that I know nothing. Gift from a friend.

So I guess even back then people were converting phonographs into bars! ;)

Very cool photo. Some of the upright machines have some fairly easily accessed hidey-holes. A friend once bought a VV-XVI and found seven Morgan dollars hidden in an envelope inside of it.
