Folks,

I dug into the vault for some older images I took of some of my more unusual labels:

We'll fill in the details as we go. ;)

P.S. I hate having to post thumbnails but the images were too big. :x

Ah, I notice a disc by the omnipresent Swedish-American evangelist J. A. Hultman.

Looks as if it might be a Columbia product. Does the matrix number give any clue?

John,

Very nice. I will have to cut out a number of these as transparencies as soon as possible! ;)

Yup, those Hultmans are Columbias and they turn up a LOT in some areas. He must have been popular! I think he made some records for Victor as well, but the Columbia "Personal" discs of his seem to be the most commonly encountered.

Fredrik,

As Sean says those are Columbia products. There are loads of these floating around, although this in the only one I've seen with this particular label.

John

Folks,

Here's one of my favorite label designs:

An English label that was only around for about two years at the end of the twenties. It used masters from Cameo and Grey Gull among others.

John

The rarest label in my collection is probably a "Bingola" - one of the most elusive products from Grey Gull. I'll try tp get a scan up as soon as poosible.

Those are absolutely stunning! I especially like the way the "O" is made into a reproducer. I have a couple of Dominions, the labels are great but the sound quality isn´t that good, they sound a bit flat and tinny.

Here's an odd label. I know nothing of this company or it's provenance, this is the only example I own.
