For Sale : Edison Standard Speaker - SOLD

Today we have a very hard to find reproducer!
Introduced in 1889, the Standard Speaker improved upon the Edison Perfected Phonograph’s Spectacle carriage with a separate reproducer and recorder. The Standard Speaker ingeniously places both the playing and recording styli on the same needle bar. They were produced for over 10 years, but in small numbers, and are very seldom found. They are correct for Edison Class M's, Homes, Spring Motors, Amets, and others.
This example is exceptional. Both recording and playing stylus are present and in excellent condition. The Standard Speaker has strong nickel plating, and has not been messed with by a previous amateur! What's almost as cool, it comes in an original box!!! I've included an image of a period ad, only in this listing.
It is ready to pop into your machine, or sit on your shelf. Not available often, don't miss this one. Its really super nice.
