Restoring a Sonora Minuet questions

Hi there,
I'm a newbie and trying to restore a Sonoara Minuet. Everything is working but it needs some cosmetic work.
One question is about the top of the lid/cover. At some point there probably was a flower pot on top of it and it shows. I tried Kotton Klenser and could get of some dirt but the outline is still there. There's a small crack. What's the best way to go about this?

The other question is about the reproducer. It doesn't seem completely broken and it plays, but it seems a bit cracked. Should the mica diaphragm be replaced?

Thanks for your help.

I would rather change the mica, it will sound better with a neat clean one adequately stiff and homogeneous

Looks like some veneer damage on the lid. You might be able to use an iron on low heat to soften the glue and press it down again. The finish will need to be restored; you could use something like 'Furniture Refinisher', in the appropriate color. I'm sure other members will have their own suggestions.

Thanks so much.
I kind of expected these answers, so I'll replace the mica and look for the furnish refinishing stuff. More work I tried to avoid, but it is for the better.
