Class M Belt Pully Stamping

I just cleaned up a upper belt pully from a Class M top and found the words DUPL. REAR on the locking screw side of the pully. See pictures. Any idea what that was for?

Duplex? With regard to machines adapted for both standard and 5" Grand cylinders?
