Are These Horn Stands and is this a recording horn?

This is one area where my knowledge falls really short-I was offered a group of early antiques that would include some phonograph items and these stands, and this horn was part of the mix.
While the stands "could" be used I do not know if they are really correct for our hobby. Only one is adjustable, the black one with the non-circle ring.

The horn looks good, but I do no recording- is it correct?

Thx for any help and information
Abe

Others will know more about it than me. That said, I believe the 1st stand is for a birdcage. Fairly certain that the second one is a legit horn stand. The third one... I don't know.

I agree with Jerry. And if you're planning on selling that second floor stand, I'd be interested.

The horn is indeed a recording horn.

Abe,

Sorry for the delay and missing you call to me the other day.

Yes. the recording horn is an Edison recording horn. Very hard to find and pretty desirable.

The stand parts are all not phonograph items. However, the hoop part (with the little loop in the top) in the second picture is the top of a very early Hoop crane from the North American era and highly, highly desirable.

Does anyone know if the long corrugated wire on the top served any other purpose than offering multiple crane attachment points? It looks a bit excessive, so I wonder if it might've had a dual purpose as a vibration dampener to help with echoing, or other unwanted effects during recording.
