Group,

I found a Diamond Disc; 50597-R titled "Breakfast In My Bed On Sunday Mornin' by Harry Lauder. Same label on both sides of the record. One side had matrix number 6869, and the other side had matrix number 6873.

Two different songs though. Strange.

It happens. I've seen that very thing several times over the years. It's just a case of the wrong label placed on a record.

As I recollect, Lauder's contract with Victor forbade issue of his records on any other disc label. Edison didn't record him on disc, only cylinder. So any DD of a Lauder song was by a cover artist.
