FOR SALE: INDIANA GRAPHOPHONE EAGLE TYPE B

For all of you Columbia Eagle Type B Graphophone collectors, you’re going to like this, so read on. I’m offering for sale this variation from the Indiana Graphophone Company, Spear & Company General Agents, Indianapolis. This example is serial number 81853 ink stamped on the bottom of the base. As can be seen it’s done a lot of entertaining over the last 125 years and shows signs of typical wear. I chose not to clean it up, this is how I purchased it. It could be disassembled and each part cleaned up but that will be the next owners choice. I oiled it up a little and it’s been running smooth since. It easily plays through a cylinder without excessive thumping and slipping. I’ve added an original 10” nickel horn and will offer the option of not purchasing the horn if you have one you would rather use. This horn is missing most of its plating on the steel body while the brass horn bell has retained most of its nickel and presents nicely with only minor dents. It also has the proper crooked end used on Eagles. If you have questions or photo requests or want to commit to buy please PM me. Preferred payment is check, money order or Zelle. PM me for alternative methods. Price as seen with the horn is $1100. I’ll credit $300 if you don’t want the horn. Thanks for looking.
