Now that’s a BIG horn.

I’ve noticed it even has additional support for that large 36” horn opening.

What dreams are made of.

This is not "new to market" as such as it was on Ebay for a while some time ago before Alex Kirtley (a member here) advertised it in this forum (it's still listed here, I note) on behalf of its owner. Alex, as I understand it, has carried out structural repairs to the horn on commission. The asking price has been lowered from £18,000 to £15,000.

Will it finally find a new home at this more than fair asking price? I really do hope so but I'm sadly doubtful.

In the UK the standard width for an internal doorway is 30 inches. That limits the machine's saleability regardless of price.

What is the sonic range in cps or hertz of the all range horn/gramophone? All I've ever spotted was a high of about 5,000 Hz and a low below 100 Hz. I know the Credenza is supposed to be about 100-5,000 cps.

Somewhere in the 60-80 hz range, i can say being directly down-wind from it, the bass can really wash over you in a positively alarming way

These guys have been watching the Antique Road Show too much !
£5,000.00, and the little "reserve not met"....

So the reserve is the "buy it now price" ??? :?

Not necessarily! It is possible that the seller would like and will now begrudgingly (perhaps) accept an offer less than £15,000 but considerably more than £5000. The B.I.N. price could conceivably be a hopeful catch for a new potential bidder who doesn't want to risk losing it if he / she (where on earth are you, Vivian?) enters the bidding with a lower bid, thus eliminating their chances of guaranteeing it for the previous B.I.N. price.

I'm guessing the Reserve is £12,000 but I have nothing substantive to base this on; it's merely a hunch!

Unless you have patio or French doors, then it's easy to accommodate!

Then lets assume the reserve is £12,000.00, then set that as the first bid.
I don't get the logic of eBay or its sellers.
