I have a Columbia AG that has the pot metal chassis and carriage assembly that is shot, is there another compatible Columbia model that has the brass chassis and carriage assembly that could be used to replace the current pot metal setup I have? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Larry

Which version do you have?

Earliest version was basically the same as first version of the HG, separate bed plate and chassis, up to about serial number 3600
Then up to serial number about 13,000 had one piece casting of bed plate and chassis. The aluminum versions are fairly common the the two piece one
not so much.

I have the version with the aluminum bed plate, looks like all the nickel is worn off , serial number 4318, Is the carriage/ assembly unique to the AG’s ?

That style of reproducer mount is only on the Grand models. I thought your original post said your chassis was bad, Grand chassis' are rarely bad but the sleeve and reproducer mount is their weak spot. The block of numbers from about 3800 to about 4500 had plain aluminum bed plates, very hard to plate aluminum.
There are some reproductions that were made and the quality is from good works to can't tell the difference.
Check with Paul Baker he might have some, I got one from him for one of my HG's a few years ago.

I had your AG in my database from when it was sold at auction. Thanks for the pictures as I had it listed as one of the full casting painted aluminum ones.
