hey guys an gals,

im looking to buy a reproducer for my phonograph also the elbow horn. i found a reproducer online in EXCELLENT condition with 300 needles for 105.00 dollars. what do yall think of that price? also does anyone know of anyone that refurbishes an cleans phonographs? mine is in need of some minor repair. in or around the louisiana area would be great. thanks an let me know if anyone has those parts im looking for. god bless

The price you quoted for the reproducer is a good one provided it was rebuilt properly. To keep your Humpback II authentic you will need the early exhibition reproducer. The needle bar has a round hole where the needle goes. Also, instead of having hex nuts, it uses round knurled nuts. You can find a good original horn elbow on ebay. Also you can get a good repro from Ron Sitko. Ask for the brass one, not the aluminum one.

Thank you sir so much for your time. How can i get ahold of these gentlemen? The hole where the needle comes out to sit on the record has somewhat of a triangular hole on the reproducer i mentioned. it has the knurled nuts an has been disassembled an cleaned an reassembled. gaskets have been been replaced an looks very nice.

If that is the reproducer selling for $105. With the 300 needles, that is a good buy. The seller is Walt Summers and he goes by the name of cybertigger on ebay. He is very meticulous in rebuilding reproducers. Since you said the reproducer has knurled nuts and a triangular needle hole, that was an upgrade after 1909. That's when fiber needles came out. That reproducer will be good for your Victor II. Good luck,
