Wendell Hall Found after Many Years

Group,

Over 50 years ago, I would help sort my father's old record collection of Edison Cylinder records. My father, born in 1920, told me to tell him if I ever found a song by Wendell Hall entitled " It Ain't Gonna Rain No'Mor'".
It was a favorite of his. I never did.

Many years later, I made a recording of the song on a Diamond Disc from 1923. My father grew up dirt poor on a farm in South Dakota, and he must have heard this song as a child.

I have liked this song since I was a kid. Of course, as a small kid, I broke the copy I had, (a 78). I've found many replacements over the years, but none containing a certain verse that I remember from my long-ago broken copy. "... frog sittin' on a lily pad, lookin' up at the sky, lily pad broke, frog fell in, got water in his eye..."

The version in your link is very different than the one I once listened to.

Dad used to play it on the ukelele and we'd all sing along. Nice memory.

I bow to your expertise. Actually, my spreadsheet has 4824 and 4324 as Wendall Hall. But I can't guarantee its error-free.

I've got that one: it was on Victor, with the B[?] side, 'Red Headed Music Maker' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5lMEYthXlQ

‘8’ and ‘3’ often look similar on the embossed end of cylinders. I believe your spreadsheet should have 4324 as ‘I was born in Michigan’ performed by ‘The Premier Quartet’.
