Just tried this site and I got randomly directed to some other site. Anyone know what happened to this site?
I have not used it in a while but I seem to remember it was good for checking record labels.
Thanks

The site I know of that is excellent for 78 labels still seems to be running:

Maybe you’re trying to access a different site?

Thanks. Yes, it's a different site. The M G Thomas is one I also use, but probably more often than the one that seems to have gone away.
I can't see anything definitive anywhere, but it looks like whoever is in control of it now is using it to randomly route to other sites. I only tried it twice, but that was enough not to try it again!
Thanks

Yes it looks like early78s.uk has gone and now just routes to unsafe websites.

Could that have been Norman Fields's site? Has it migrated to here?

I only discovered this site today, quite by chance.

It could be. It's not exactly the same. But the more I look at it, the more I think it is the same info and pictures.
Thanks

Yes it has. I heard about it at the CLPGS Malvern weekend last month.

If you are concerned about the ephemeral nature of small specialist hobby websites (usually maintained by one individual), there is a FOSS (Free Open Source Software) utility, Webhttrack, that can
sometimes allow you to copy/archive an entire website to your PC for reference and/or preservation.
