I must admit, I really do like playing Elvis 78 records on my teak 101 wind up gramophone using home made cactus needles.
The sound is really loud with an amazing clear quality.
Especially 'Heartbreak Hotel'.

It's no sin to play modern 78s on old machines - I do it all the time

I hope you're at least putting the tonearm on the correct "side" of the record!
