Offering an original Edison Cygnet 10-panel horn with a new faux oak finish. Like many Cygnet horns, the condition was good but the finish was shot. Faux finish brings new life to the horn and improves your phonograph display as can be seen in the photo of an 11-panel version of this horn on a triumph for example. There are 6 coats of finish to get the proper and protected appearance which results in a hardy finish that is waterproof. Very similar to original but lighter in color. See pic which shows original vs new faux technique. Originals were grained using shellac over paint which is almost never intact and easily flakes off. My method uses acrylics and shellac with sealed clear coats in between. It won't flake in your lifetime.

Price: $625 Shipping is free if you live within the Continental U.S.

I could. But you would have to pay shipping.
I would estimate shipping to be $50 each way depending
on where you live.

$250 for a 10-panel with elbow
$325 for an 11-panel with elbow

I intend to be at the APS show in Anaheim in May so I could
bring horns for pic up there and avoid one of the shipping costs.

I should add that the price I quoted assumes that there is no prep work
like stripping paint or removing surface rust or filling holes. I would
have to charge an additional $75 to prep a horn for faux finish. I
also have no way to remove dents in the elbow or bends in the bell
section. I can faux over an original black painted finish if it is intact
and not flaking. Saving the original decals is iffy.
