Edison Amberola 30 Lid replacement/repair

Last month, I got an Edison Amberola 30 for $40

Only issue I had was a missing reproducer, grille, and (partially) the top of the lid

Since then I have bought a reproducer for $289 and will buy a grille from thephonographshop when it goes back in stock.

But the top of the lid is partially missing, as in it's there, but the top of it was sawed off, leaving a thin layer of wood, shining a light to it, it peers through almost invisible cracks and can be seen on the other side.

I want to either repair the top of it or buy a new lid entirely.
How much would a lid go for?
How would I repair the top?

Pictures would help. However, from your description, the lid veneer is missing. Not uncommon. Buying a new piece of veneer from a woodworker's shop and watching some youtube videos may do the trick. But then, without some pics, this is just a guess.
