AWESOME AWESOME SHOW PICS!!!! My first show was in Wayne earlier this year.......UNION is much bigger and diverse. Wish I was there.

Anybody out there (or on this forum) with a hold down bracket for a VIctor VI, or the original paperwork and/or manuals for a VIctor IV, V, and VI?????

Thanks for providing a glimpse into the Union show. It's now been 7 years since I last attended and every year I regret not going.

Any chance we can get a few prices on some of the items shown?

What model Columbia is that coin-op? Was it restored?

Regards,
Scott

Thanks. Some beautiful machines. You have convinced me to go next year.

Alas, I didn't keep notes on prices..... My bad.

The large coin-op was the floor cabinet version of the Type S, the only one I've ever seen.

This was a bountiful year for Operas and Victor VIs. You could have had your pick from quite a few, in varying conditions. At least 2 really, really nice original Operas. There were also two Berliner lever-winds (one incomplete) and at least 3 Zonophone A, though only one had the flat-front reproducer. That one sold very quickly. There were also two restored Kalamazoo Duplex, an unrestored Vernis Martin Victrola, Type AS and Type N coin-ops, an empty Bijou coin-op cabinet, full-barrel Herzog, and a lot of other goodies that are slipping my mind at the moment.

In general prices struck me as on the high side, but then again I didn't see a whole lot of stuff moving. Perhaps prices started coming down later in the show but I had reached my limit so I'm not there today for the closing activity. I'm sure there will be deals today.

Did any one notice the price on that A290? I think it might have been there last year. I'd have loved to buy it but it was a little beyond my budget. :(

I love looking at the pictures of the shows. The Circassian VTLA is certainly pretty, but I think it's been seen before so the price must be too high. The Wicker semi-victrola hiding behind the Zonophone made me giggle. Gosh I want to go to one of these shows sometime. ( I can't even get myself to Ottawa for my guild conference let alone to Chicago... :( )

The A-290 was not the same one I saw two years ago; I missed last year so I'm not sure if the previous one reappeared or if this one may have been there. However my impression was that this one was fresh to the market, and it was definitely nicer than the one I had seen previously. This one was tagged at $4K.

Thanks for the information. I don't suppose you'd know the owner by any chance? It looks like it's close to the area where the Oliphants set up?
