Need advice. I have a Columbia AA and the 2 inch gear with shaft that engages with the governor has a small gear at the opposite end that is cracked. Does anyone have experience gluing or soldering these back on with success? Does anyone have the small gear or the entire part by chance? Thanks -Dan L-

There is nothing you can do to save or re-use that gear. If nobody has a used one for you, I can make a new one for you. PM me if interested. (I would need you to send me the shaft and the split gear.)

That may be the same shaft and gears found on the Type B (Eagle). If so, finding a substitute should be easy.

I believe the shaft is different, but the gears are likely the same.

They are the exact same gears as on the Eagle's. The shaft is the same too however it is fitted in the opposite direction! I've have access to some donor parts but have not attempted to remove the gears from them and not sure if they can be successfully removed or not. They seem pressed on so maybe they come off if one is careful? Or were they held on the shaft by some other means?

Jerry Van: I'll let you know if I need help. Thank for your offer it's in the mix for sure.
