I notice that Shenandoah Antique Restoration advertises essentially new Orthophonic reproducers, apparently only using the needlebar and bearing covers from you existing reproducer. Has anybody tried one and, if so, what do you think of them?

Here is the url. http://www.shenandoahrestoration.com/motor.html Scroll down a bit to get to the reproducer section.

I've had one done with new castings from another dealer, and if possible next time, I'd have them try to salvage the original aluminum diaphragm, if it's in good shape. Later replacements, though alright, don't sound as rich as the originals, IMO.
