I like Kreisler so much that's almost indecent. These are great transfers. I always say that it takes a great artist to play second rate music. Both Kreisler and McCormack had the wonderful and very rare ability to spin musical straw into gold. I adore salon music, but oh my it's rare these days to hear it performed well. ( Two contempary artists who are good at it are the pianist Marc Hamelin and the baritone Gerald Finlay...who I swear channels Reinald Werrenrath in the encores.
