I have a console talking machine with only identification is SILVERTONE in gold script. It is 36" wide, 21" deep and 34 3.4 high. Half top opens to tonearm and record turntable where Silvertone is found. Works well. Origianl condition. Where can I find info on this machine and it's general value? Thank you. Silvertone phonographs were sold exclusively by Sears. Here's the typical logo:




You might also come across some models with a round metal "Silvertone" medallion --



Don't know what the current "values" would be, but probably less than comparable Victor models.

Dave, "Silvertone" was Sear's house brand for various instruments--phonographs, radios, guitars, etc.- manufactured for them by a number of different companies. They used the name for decades. You can find info on the net by Goggling the name. By and large they were fairly decent middle-of-the-road machines, but from what I’ve seen don’t bring a lot. One way to get a quick ball park value would be to do a search for completed eBay sales.

There is a Silvertone almost like it at a shop here in Illinois not too far from me. Its got a 245.00 price on it and its been there for probably 3 years now. I have seen them bring 125 or so on ebay but won't want to ship it.
