Does anyone know if Columbia stamped the serial number on the "B" series cylinder machines (BE,BF,BG,BM)
in any other place other than the ID tag on the left side of the top chassis?

That's the only spot for serial number that I'm aware of.

George,

I thought so, as I looked the machine over closely. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't buried on some hidden away part.

My BGT is stamped on the side of the gear switch mechanism on the upper belt pully and then labelled uner the lid with a paper label. Sorry I can't produce any pictures right now. :(

The model is on the paper label but not the serial number.

Oops, I didn't read closely enough. It's the model no. I was referring to, not the SN!

This is the reason I was looking for an alternate serial number location:

To install this 2/4 minute attachment on this BM the cover plate had to be removed. Anyone familiar with it?
