Where can one buy a nice reproduction horn for a Columbia-Q / Eagle phonograph?

You may want to check the "links" section on the forum. There is a listing for finding dealers and repair services.

A nice one can be made from ordinary office paper and some Scotch tape, which will do for the time being :D Has anyone ever actually tried making a horn from regular paper?

Ron Sitko usually has repro horns available for a reasonable price. Other dealers buy from him and then usually mark up the price. ;) See Repairs, Parts, Dealers, Sales & Auctions in the Links section for Ron's contact information.

I've seen the straight black cone with a gold band used on many of these machines, but I prefer the 10 and a half inch long nickel-plated witch's hat myself. Just a personal preference.

I love that nickel plated witch's hat horn, and your right, it looks GREAT on a Columbia Eagle! I just found one on EBay for $45.00 plus aprox. $17.00 for the shipping. Ebay item number 280720490600.
