This is from La Revue Canadienne dating from 1903 which must be the bitter end before Zonophone was more or less awarded by the courts to Victor.
A quick translation of the ad:
If you have an instrument of any make for disc records, I can supply you with the only records which will suit your instrument and which would be pleasant to hear. These perfected records are called Zonophone Records: they are sweet, smooth and natural. They are the only flat records which do not have the harsh squawking and metallic sound which one hears in other talking machines. With our fifteen dollar ZON-O-PHONE one can use large as well as small records. It is the only fifteen dollar machine for flat records that one can wind while it is playing.
We exchange old records and old machines for new ones. Write for more details and mention La Revue. We will respond quickly to all for information requested by correspondence.
