I'm in the market for a good original or rebuilt Model B reproducer for an Edison Standard A. The model C I have is great for black wax cylinders, but not very good on Brown wax! Thanks...

I found one! Reasonably priced too at $115.00 plus shipping. In the process I picked up the 2/4 gearing for this Standard A. Looks like I'll be getting an H reproducer next.

I’m glad to hear that you found a Model B reproducer—good luck finding a Model H.
Have you gotten to use it yet?

Oh yeah, it sounds pretty good on some cylinders. However, on a good number, the sound starts off clear but gradually degrades as it continues. By the end of those records, it's basically noise. The "C" reproducer in it now looks good, it supposedly is newly rebuilt, new gaskets, diaphragm and stylus. I don't see any wax shavings on the stylus, so I'm leaning towards it being the records themselves.
