Those Pesky Roman Numerals!

I usually don't post poor eBay listings, since there are so many bad ones it could become a full-time occupation. However, just in case someone on this board was interested in the scarce table model version of the Victrola XI, I thought this infraction should be noted:

At first, I thought the seller simply confused "XI" with "IX." The machine depicted in the single, poor quality photo is oak, and the hardware is nickel. (A XI would be mahogany with gold hardware.) But the more I look at the turntable, it seems to be only 10" in diameter, which would mean this machine is an VIII. But surely, a seller couldn't possibly arrive at "XI" from "VIII" could he?
In either event, this isn't an XI. The price is three times too high for this.
