I have no idea, but I saw a Grandfather's clock with a radio in it at a Radio Show over the weekend, so apparently the general idea was out there.

I'd guess it's an assembled piece. Notice how low and inconvenient the phono works are. Plus, if the clock is running the weights would eventually come to rest on the turntable!

Several of the major music box manufacturers also made models with the box built into tall clocks. It would be interesting to see it "up close and personal" to assess it.

The first autostop implementation in which they discovered a slight discrepancy between the end of 3 minute record and an 8 day movement. It is rumored they did extensive testing of this feature using Cal Stewart records.

Yeah I agree, its highly suspect. It was probably "frankified" many years ago so it looks semi-natural
but that does not make it any better. And certainly not worth $6795!

It does appear to have generic tone arm and sound box parts from the exact period.

I'm glad the the photo was attached. It makes this 2011 post a valuable resource.
Here's an ad from 1920 showing a similar Grandfather Phonograph Clock.
