The Talking Machine Forum — For All Antique Phonographs & Recordings

Recently, I became a member of ARSC or the Association for Recorded Sound Collections. About, three or four weeks ago, I was in one of my favorite Antique Shops, in my hometown. I came across a brochure, for this Society. It really caught my attention. I never knew such an organization existed? Since I have a small collection of sound recordings, I decided to join. Monday, I received my two copies of the ARSC Newsletter, and Journal. Plus a Welcome letter from Peter Shambarger, Executive Director.

Hey George, I'm sure you have heard of this Organization, and are member?

I owe the Journal very much, especially for the contributions of Raymond R. Wile whose numerous articles are a model for my own writings. Heretofore I don't publish in the Journal, I only once wrote a letter to the editor in the spring 2002 issue regarding the, so called, "Lambert talking clock."

In your youtube Edison Vs. Victola, you quote Edison Dianond Disc record was a lateral recording and Victor record was vertical recording. This is just the opposite, and a serious mistate.
