This machine has become available in my area, the owner is asking $400.00. Would that be the correct value for this phonograph. Thanks always for your opinions.

I'd try for $300. The Sonora baby grand (with the curved bombe cabinet) can be had for around $300-400, so I think this one should go for a little less (although it does appear to be in nice condition.

I can't say what a "fair" price is, but if you like it, I'll bet that would not be the most expensive mistake you ever made. While I like a "deal" as well as the next guy, I'll risk paying "too much" if it is in nice condition and what I want.

Hi

If that was in Australia, it would be mine, no question on the price of $400.00. If you can afford it buy it, it looks nice.

It seems quite fair to me, offer 350, but with that grill(e) completely intact be prepared to pay $400. A bombe sided model is worth loads more, but this one is quite nice too. I wouldn't mind having it. One of the best off-brand brands.

A quite handsome machine. Were it in my backyard I would likely go for it.

In this hobby $400 is pocket change. Worrying about 50 bucks one way or the other is the best way to lose out on getting a machine. If you want it, buy it.

I have one of these Sonoras, except that someone took out the vertical dividers, although I don't see any marks in the interior to indicate their removal. The reproducer rests in something that may be beeswax. Sometimes the needle really sticks in. Any simple cures?
