I ended up with a hand crank antique record player that I just can't identify. It has a label on the inside that says Heliophone - Manfg Co - Leeds - British Make. It doesn't use a speaker, you open the lower cabinet door and listen through an acoustic chamber. It hand cranks and works/sounds great. Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated. Pictures are on the youtube link. [email protected]

A very typical 1920's cabinet gramophone. There were hundreds of these small manufacturers and the machines are very similar: oak case, record compartment on left accessed by lifting the lid. You are probably missing a cloth backed fretwork grille over the horn on the right. Value- in the low hundreds at best, the cabinet is pretty but otherwise this is not interesting for collectors.
